USING TIPS

There are two primary methods for using tips with your cannagar process.

Loading tips into the molds, packing flower down into them, this creates a flower body that is perfectly even with the tip – then you wrap your flower cores so that your wrapper overlaps the tip slightly.

Making a finished and wrapped cannagar, then sliding the finished item into the tip. The “black and mild” method.

These two methods require different gauge sizes.  The first method considers only the EXTERIOR diameter of the tip, to make sure it fits snugly into the cannagar mold.  The second method considers only the INTERIOR diameter of the tip, so that the finished and wrapped cannagar fits snugly into the tip.

Many tips and sizes exist out there. For custom sizing – reach out through the Customer Support Chat Portal and you will receive a response as soon as possible to assist in finding the right gauge for your product and methods.

If you are using ORGANITIPS wooden tips (www.organitips.com) – they only make four sizes, and Cannagar Tools knows exactly what you need.

Original Tip (the smallest tip)

Method #1 = 20 Gauge FlatCap Cannagar Molds. 20 gauge holds the tip snugly so you can pack down into it. We don’t make a smaller mold size than 20 in our standard tool set, so for the original size tip – if you wish to use method #2 – you will need custom sized molds. These molds are very small, and honestly its probably best to stick with method #1 if using these smaller tips, or just make shells for them and load them with loose flower for a more joint like smoking experience.

Fatty Tip

Method #1 = 32 Gauge RoundCap Cannagar Molds. 32 gauge holds the tip snugly so you can pack down into it.  32 gauge is the size of the EXTERIOR diameter of the Fatty Tip.

Method #2 = 22-26 gauge Cannagar Molds to make your solid flower core. This is varied because it totally depends on how much thickness you add when wrapping, as to what gauge you will select. If you are adding a layer of concentrates – that may thicken up your end result and you would likely need 22-24 gauge to slide down into the tip snugly. If you are only using a thin wrapper and not adding much thickness, 26 gauge would be the best option. 26 gauge is the approximate size of the INTERIOR diameter of the Fatty Tip.  Before ordering a large set of tools, order a single. R&D your process with this method so you can nail down the sizes that you need.

XL Tip

Method #1 = 54 Gauge Cannagar Molds.  54 gauge holds the tip snugly so you can pack down into it.  54 gauge is the size of the EXTERIOR diameter of the XL Tip.

Method #2 = 42-48 gauge Cannagar Molds to make your solid flower core. This is varied because it totally depends on how much thickness you add when wrapping, as to what gauge you will select. If you are adding a layer of concentrates – that may thicken up your end result and you would likely need 42-44 gauge to slide down into the tip snugly after wrapping. If you are only using a thin wrapper and not adding much thickness, 48 gauge would be the best option. 48 gauge is the approximate size of the INTERIOR diameter of the Fatty Tip.  Before ordering a large set of tools, order a single. R&D your process with this method so you can nail down the sizes that you need.

XXL Tip

Method #1 = 64 Gauge Cannagar Molds.  64 gauge holds the tip snugly so you can pack down into it.  64 gauge is the size of the EXTERIOR diameter of the XL Tip. 64 gauge molds are no longer standard, and need to be ordered through the custom shop.

Method #2 = 54-58 gauge Cannagar Molds to make your solid flower core. This is varied because it totally depends on how much thickness you add when wrapping, as to what gauge you will select. If you are adding a layer of concentrates – that may thicken up your end result and you would need 54-58 gauge to slide down into the tip snugly after wrapping.
